McCarran International Airport is a project with a complicated design requiring thousands of individual details comprising unique shapes. The terminal reaches an astounding 300 feet wide by 2280 feet long. 60-80 truckloads of steel were delivered each week as four cranes continuously and collaboratively organized efforts to complete this project in less than four months and six weeks ahead of schedule.
Southwest Steel embraced the challenge of McCarran International Airport when no one believed the project could be done at all — let alone within the scheduled timeframe. Impressive pieces include the large trusses (100 ft long and 6 ft deep) which were fabricated to accommodate four major and four minor skylights.
